First Aid

Girls Camp First Aid training. John was one of the victims.

Steven

Even though Steven was hiding behind his certificate and making goofy faces, he graduated from 6th grade and is on to middle school next fall. He was on the honor roll all year.

Fun

Last week we had a lot of fun delivering Meals on Wheels and going to Love St. Park and cooling off.

Locks of Love

It is too hot in Texas to have long hair in the summer! Kathryn got 10 inches cut off to donate to Locks of Love. Some little cancer patient will enjoy her brown curls on their head. (:

Skulls

Leave it to the Enslow children to find a skull of some small animal while we were at a park for a Mother's Day Brunch. They first picked it up with a bunch of paper towels and then when we arrived home they got on rubber gloves and examined it closer. Yuck

Feet

John using the "foot bath" after I got the royal treatment on Mother's Day.He stands up...I prefer kicking back on the couch and closing my eyes.

Camping

The 5 boys all went with their Daddy on a Father's and Son's camp out. It RAINED during the night so they were back by 8am....... wayyyy earlier than I expected after staying up 'til 2:30am with Katie having a "girls night". Chris pitched the tent to dry it out in the yard and we have been sleeping in it off and on all week because the weather was beautiful. Here is a shot of Katie passed out when I went to wake her up one morning.

California Here I Come

I just made travel plans this morning to go to CA in June(2weeks from today). I am totally excited to see all of my family. It's been quite a while since the kids have been there. Cousin Dexter is 2 and they haven't even met him. And baby boy Calvin is 6 months already! We can't wait.
I have been on the phone with my Dad,Mom,Chris,Southwest Airlines, and Jay all morning. Katie just told me," I have never seen you sit down at the computer on the phone for that long in my life." (: I really would HATE having a desk job.
I will be in CA for 3 weeks and the 4 oldest are staying an extra week at my Mom's house and flying back together without me.
Fun! Fun! Fun! We are going camping to Pine crest with my Mom, on a San Francisco tour with my Dad,the beach, Redwoods,Bonfante Gardens and seeing my Aunt Kate and cousins. It is gonna be awesome! And hopefully see all my 3 brothers that live in CA! Bonus: My 4 hour layover on my flight back is in Vegas, so I will hopefully get to see my sister for a short moment.

MOM, these are for you.

Grandma Betsy took us out to Cracker Barrel while she was in town. We love he and miss her. California here we come!

These were on my cell phone, Mom.

Guns

Chris is now a NRA Gun Safety Instructor. He spent two LONG weekends being trained. Here he was helping teach the scouts proper handling prior to Scout Camp this summer. I think he is going to be a Range Safety Officer at a camp at Ft. Walters this summer. If my facts are wrong he can log onto this blog and change them. :)

I Love Texas

I actually do love Texas in some ways. Here is a view of what I see through the fence while at our neighborhood pool with the kids.

Home Depot

What are boys to do on a boring trip to Home Depot with Dad? Get the cell phone out and start posing for pictures!

Lunch

I asked John and Adam to make a lunch to bring with them during our Meals on Wheels deliveries, so they wouldn't be hungry, and I find John writing their names on the lunch bags. So cute. Pretty good writing for a 4 yr old. He can also write Mom, Dad, Alex, and Ryan without help.

S'more's

Neighbor boys came over and had fun roasting marshmallows and making s'more's. Their family is from Belgium. They said that they had never had a s'more. We taught them the ropes and they were hooked.

Roodles and Jiggy

Time flies when we are having fun. I can't believe Adam is going to kindergarten this fall. John is going to miss him soooo bad.

Camp Out

We just had a Young Women's camp out and it was soooo fun. I taught dutch oven cooking by guiding the girls through the meal prep for dinner, dessert, and breakfast. They were awesome as usual. We all missed Kathryn. She will be back this Thursday from Colorado. These yummy dishes you see are Mountain Man Breakfast and baked apples with sticky buns on top. mmmm
