On Monday, for Family Night, and for Steven's bday we went to race go karts. Steven has been asking to do this all year. they are not terrorists.....it is just the head cover for inside the helmets.

New Zealand

My Mom and her three sisters had a once in a lifetime trip to New Zealand in February. My Aunt Susan lives there and planned an exciting 2 weeks for all of them. Here are some pictures.

Breakfast Cookies

Roodles and Jiggy were "helping" me make breakfast cookies. The recipe is on zonya.com if anyone is interested. They are actually healthy/ high fiber with oat bran, flax,oatmeal,o.j.,milk,raisins,nuts, whole wheat flour. Our kids LOVE them and they are easy for rushing teenagers trying to catch a bus at 7am when their Mom is in bed.(: I am much better at making a real breakfast for the 4 younger ones and Chris AFTER 7:30 am. Alex and Kate are lucky if I cook for them once a week. I have been staying up too late lately!

sticky floors

Johnny decide since I was using the kitchen sink he would take a pitcher in the bathroom and fill it up in the tub and make some sugar free punch drink. This is by NO MEANS the biggest mess he has ever made. It was worse yesterday when he pooped his pants and then tried to flush them down the toilet! BUT, I didn't get a picture of that one.I was too busy cleaning up "brown footprints" that went from my kitchen, where Adam made him laugh, to the toilet.

Puzzled

Emily and I had fun doing this puzzle while she was visiting. We had the help of a few "little fingers", but ended up with all the pieces in the end. Now that is a big accomplishment with John living at this address.

Handyman

Steven is a Webelo Cub Scout and I am his leader. Last week we did handy man projects. Here he is learning to change a tire. Our friend with a little car had them practice on his car instead of attempting the Suburban tire change!

They did so well. They also learned to check the tire pressure, and the oil.

Busy Days

Today is one of those crazy days. Johnny is gone at the moment on a field trip with Joy School. We have the school spring carnival tonight and I have scouts coming here at 4pm for a handyman class. They are going to learn how to check oil in a car, change a tire,change filters on a heater,light bulbs, doorknobs. I only have 2 scouts at the moment so it is easy without a huge crowd of boys. My sister called last night and she is hitching a ride to UT with a friend that is coming here today. So we are going to pick her and her 3 girls up tonight in Salt Lake. I am so excited to see her. Hopefully we will have a relaxing weekend watching General Conference. It will be great for the cousins to play together.
I went to a book club last night. We read Letters to Emily. I haven't finished it. It is an easy quick read. I just got the book yesterday at noon and didn't have time to finish it with all of the laundry and ironing I had going on.
I gotta run and switch the loads. Have a great day everyone out there.

Scouting for Food

Last week the cub scouts went "Scouting for Food" to collect for the needy. Here they are after running the hills dropping off donation bags. They were such good sports. Ryan and his best buddy.
Yes! I know Steven is sideways, but I forgot to flip the picture when I downloaded it and now it is stuck. Just tilt your head to the left and deal with it. Yaaahhhhhooo. Almost all of our snow was melted UNTIL the two snowy nights we had this past weekend. We can finally get to our mailbox!!
