Alex

Alex is going to be 15 tomorrow. I cannot believe it has gone by so quickly. When I realize I only have 3 years left with him here at home .....I cry. I wish I could put it in slow motion and pause it a few times.
He is so awesome. This morning and every morning that he gets up for seminary on his own, I am so thankful . When I came out this morning he once again was fully dressed, lunch packed, breakfast eaten and had the keys in his hand. He was going to warm up the car before I got in. Then when I hopped in, he got the snow/ice scraper and scraped all of the windows and mirrors in 20 degree weather while I sat in the warm car. What a man! I love that boy and am so pleased with his gentle kindness and dedication. He is going to become a great man.

No School!

I've been very busy this week because the kids were out of school. There was icy weather on Tue and Wed so we hung out all day at home.They were so excited when they heard school was cancelled that they were blasting the song Celebration by Kool and the Gang at 7am! It was so cute. When they are not arguing I LOVE when my kids are home with me. We had a ton of fun keeping the fire going in the fireplace, playing games,watching movies.....just relaxing. I love these kind of days.
Last night at Young Women's we made a "time capsule". We also made one as a family that we will open next year. We had "show and tell" which was so fun. I learned so much about these girls and it made me feel so much closer to them. They brought some interesting and very creative items.These youth are so strong and valiant.I am in awe whenever I am in their presence. I feel so blessed to be able to serve with them.

No Camera

I cannot find the cord to charge my camera battery. I wonder if I left it behind while on vacation......irritating. Maybe Chris will buy me a new digital camera on the way home from work today. hint hint hint (:

Whoops!

Last night my studly hubby came home early from work to install an antenna in the attic so we can get a few local channels. My camera battery went dead before I could take the pictures that captured what happened about 10 minutes after this photo. Ssoooo when I get my camera up and running I will take photos of the HOLE in my master bedroom walk in closet CEILING. I now have a great view of the attic!

Seriously, I am so thankful he was not hurt.Ryan watched him as one leg went through the attic floor, crashing through our closet ceiling.

We all had a good laugh about it.
