Squirrel

John and Adam had a friend over last week and I saw Adam hiding something under his shirt while they were walking up the basement stairs. I had heard them laughing a lot a few minutes earlier. I asked him what he had wrapped up in the dish towel under his shirt. He said nothing.....I went over and pulled the dish towel and out tumbled a dead baby squirrel onto the stairs by my bare foot. I had the camera in my pocket and here it is! Our cat had killed the squirrel earlier in the backyard and I hadn't gone out and put it in the trash.

Boys......boys.....boys....
I am just thankful they did not hide it in the house for me to find later.....especially with my house on the market. That would definitely not be a good thing for a buyer to come across during a showing of the house!

By the way...the dish towel and the squirrel went bye bye in the trash and the 3 little boys got washed thoroughly 3x over with soap and warm water!!

Texas

Chris and I were in Texas last week looking for a home. Here are the only two things I managed to take a picture of.

Chinese With Grandma

Grandma Betsy took us all out to Chinese before she went home. It was yummy! Some of the kids got busted for "sibling squabbling" and then it was all good and we had a great time. Thank , Mom!

Grandma Betsy Came to Town

My Mom was here along with my inlaws for a trip to Aspen Grove. We had a great time!

Grandparents Visiting

Grandpa John and Grandma Dana were visiting from Kansas a couple weeks ago. We went to Aspen Grove together and then hung out at the house for a few days.

Can we ever get a picture with everyone facing the right direction and smiling at the same time?

I forgot......I've been busy!

OOpps! Someone brought to my attention that I have forgotten to mention that we are moving!! Chris is being transferred to Texas with Lockheed Martin. He is starting on October 6th. Hopefully our house will be sold soon so I can move along with him. The market is slowwww here, but thankfully not half as bad as other areas of the country. We had an offer the first week , but the buyer didn't qualify for our price range. ):

Having a 3600 sq ft home for sale with 6 kids and a HUGE yard is VERY STRESSFUL! I like to be organized and relatively clean, but I am in NO WAY a perfectionist, baseboard cleaning, smudge wiping, crumb catching clean freak!!!! I can't wait 'til this is over. It has only been on the market 2 weeks yet it feels like a year. I really want to do some canning. We have a ton of tomatoes and jalapenos to make salsa, but I just cannot make that kind of mess right now! Tomorrow a.m is the Weber County Realtor's Tour with a ton of people walking through. I have a showing today at 3pm and last night we had one, but the buyers son threw up in the car and they had to cancel and go back to the hotel. Bummer.

Wish us luck! Chris and I are going to Dallas tomorrow until the 15th for a house hunting trip. Yeah....a trip..... minus the kids! SueZan will be the lucky one here with 8 kids and a house for sale to keep perfect!

Adam and John helped Daddy get their training wheels on so they could learn to ride big boy bikes now.

No Screen Week

If anyone is wondering why I have not made an entry for over a week it is because first we were on vacation and then our Stake President asked us all to have a "No Screen" Week....... no t.v., computer etc. Today is the first day back on the blog, but I am so busy that I have no time to write at this moment. I'll update you all later. (:

See ya!
